Argentina passport photo
There is no Argentine passport photo to prepare at home: the photo, fingerprints and signature are captured at the RENAPER or Registro Civil appointment. Only some consulates ask for a printed 4 × 4 cm colour photo on a white background.

Photo, fingerprints and signature are captured at the RENAPER or Registro Civil appointment, so no photo is brought. Some consulates ask for one printed 4 × 4 cm colour photo on a white background for the file.
Partial data: some figures come from search excerpts of official pages that blocked automated reading. Confirm them on the official page before applying.
Place the crown and chin at the guide lines and the eyes in the band when one is shown. The oval is an approximate placement guide, not a face measurement or approval check.
This authority publishes no head height: keep the face centred with space above the head and the shoulders visible.
Nothing to crop for a passport in Argentina
The RENAPER Centro de Documentación or the Registro Civil photographs you during the appointment and records your fingerprints and signature. argentina.gob.ar publishes no photo size for the ordinary passport because no photo is brought.
Consulates may ask for a 4 × 4 cm print
Consulates also capture the photo on site, but some ask for one printed 4 × 4 cm colour ID photo on a white background for the file, on matte paper in Asunción. The current image is frontal on white; the old 3/4 profile on light blue survives only on a 2010 emergency-passport form.
How to prepare for the capture
Arrive with your hair off the face and nothing covering it. Consular pages seen only in search excerpts ask for no glasses and an uncovered head; the live capture itself publishes no rule.
What this page does not do
The tool shows no frame for Argentina because the authority defines none. Figures here are marked partial: the consular 4 × 4 cm size comes from individual consulate pages, not from a central specification.
How to take a valid photo
The authority takes the photo, so this list is about arriving ready for the capture.
- Consulates ask for a current frontal ID photo on a white background; the old 3/4 profile on light blue survives only on outdated forms.
- Consular pages seen in search excerpts say no glasses and head uncovered.
