File photos into albums as you swipe

PrunePic files photos into your Photos albums while you clean: swipe a photo right and drop it on an album, or pick any of your albums from the list, then move on to the next photo. Cleaning up and organizing happen in the same pass.

How album filing works

  1. Pin your albums. Choose the albums you file into most often, such as Family, Recipes or Receipts. Pinned albums appear in the swipe tray at the edge of the feed.
  2. Swipe and drop. When a photo belongs in an album, drag the card onto that album and release. PrunePic adds it to the album and moves on to the next photo.
  3. Or pick from the full list. Release a card on Choose Album to search every album you have, or create a new one on the spot.

The photo is kept, filed and out of your way in one gesture.

Create albums without leaving the feed

Need an album that does not exist yet? Create it from PrunePic and it appears in your Photos library straight away, ready to pin. There is no cap on the number of albums.

After a trip, PrunePic can also add all the photos you kept to a new album for that trip in one tap.

Browse your albums

PrunePic shows every album in your library in three views: a grid, a scrolling feed and a full-screen carousel. You can sort albums, search them, open one and clean it up with the same swipe gestures, or remove items from an album without deleting them from your library.

Why organize while you clean

Every photo you keep during a cleanup has already had your full attention. That is the cheapest moment to decide where it belongs. Doing it later means scrolling through the same photos twice.

Frequently asked questions

Are PrunePic albums the same as Photos albums?

Yes. PrunePic creates and fills regular albums in your Photos library, so they appear in the Photos app, on your other devices with iCloud Photos, and anywhere else you see your albums.

Can a photo be in more than one album?

Yes. Albums in Photos work like playlists. Adding a photo to an album does not move or copy it, so the same photo can be in several albums without using extra space.

Is there a limit to how many albums I can create?

No. You can create as many albums as you like, browse them all in PrunePic, and pin the ones you use most.
