Image resizer

Resize images to fit a width and height in pixels without stretching them. Choose multiple photos, enter your size and download JPG, PNG or WebP copies, free with no upload.

Keeps the photo’s proportions. Smaller photos stay at their original size.

    How to resize a photo

    1. Enter the maximum width and height in pixels.
    2. Choose one or several photos and select JPG, PNG or WebP output.
    3. Download the proportional resized copies or the whole batch.

Set the largest width and height you want, then choose your photos. A 4000 × 3000 photo fitted inside 1920 × 1920 becomes 1920 × 1440. The image keeps its proportions.

    Get the right dimensions

This tool fits the whole image within your size without cropping or adding borders. Photos already smaller than the bounds keep their original dimensions. Use the cropper first when you need a specific aspect ratio.

    Choose an output format

JPG is useful for photos. PNG preserves transparency and screenshot detail. WebP can preserve transparency with smaller files where your browser supports encoding it. Exports remove the original metadata. For a strict KB or MB limit, use the image compressor.

    Resize a photo for sharing

Reducing a large camera photo to the dimensions required by a form or website avoids sending pixels that the recipient will never display. Choose PNG for a transparent graphic or a screenshot where text detail matters; choose JPG for a typical photograph.

The width and height fields accept 1 to 8192 pixels. Existing smaller photos keep their dimensions. Output files do not carry the original EXIF data; your source files stay unchanged.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I resize an image without stretching it?

Enter the maximum width and height in pixels. The tool scales the entire photo proportionally until it fits within both bounds. It does not stretch, crop or add borders.

How do I make a photo 1920 pixels wide?

Set the width to 1920 and make the height large enough for the photo’s proportions. For example, a 4000 × 3000 photo fitted within 1920 × 1920 becomes 1920 × 1440.

Can I resize to an exact square or portrait size?

Crop to the required aspect ratio first, then resize within the target dimensions. For a 1080 × 1080 square, use a 1:1 crop and enter 1080 for both bounds. Smaller originals are not enlarged.

    Can I batch resize images?

Yes. Choose several images and all will use the same size bounds and output format. Their resulting dimensions depend on each image’s proportions. Download separately or as a zip.

    Does resizing preserve transparency?

PNG and WebP output can preserve transparency. JPG fills transparent areas with white. WebP export depends on browser support.

Will resizing make my photo smaller than 500 KB?

Pixel dimensions do not guarantee a file size. If you need a strict KB or MB limit, use the image compressor, which measures the generated JPG size.
