Cleaning modes for every kind of clutter
A cleaning mode decides which photos PrunePic puts in your feed and in what order. Start broad with Random or Everything, or go straight to the clutter that takes the most space.

The modes
| Mode | What it shows | Order |
|---|---|---|
| Random | Your whole library, shuffled | Random |
| Everything | All your photos and videos | Newest or oldest first |
| Photos | Regular photos only | Newest or oldest first |
| Screenshots | Screenshots only | Newest or oldest first |
| Videos | Clips and screen recordings | Newest, oldest or longest first |
| On This Day | Photos and videos taken on today’s date in past years | Newest first |
| Trips & Moments | Photos grouped by where they were taken | Newest, oldest or biggest first |
Start broad: Random and Everything
Random shuffles your entire library. It is the most relaxed way to clean: every card is a surprise, and old forgotten photos come up next to last week’s. Many people use it for a few minutes a day.
Everything walks through your library in order, newest or oldest first. Pick oldest first to clear years of backlog systematically, or newest first to keep on top of what you add each week.
Go straight to the clutter
The focused modes remove everything you do not want to look at right now:
- Screenshots are the easiest wins. Most of them were useful for a few minutes and never again.
- Videos take the most space. Sort them longest first to find the biggest files.
- Photos hides screenshots and videos so you can focus on the pictures you took.
Revisit memories
On This Day shows what you captured on today’s date in previous years. It turns cleanup into a short trip down memory lane, and it is easy to spot the blurry duplicates you never needed.
Trips & Moments groups photos by the places they were taken, so you can clean up a holiday or an event in one go while it is still fresh.
How modes and your progress fit together
Whatever mode you use, PrunePic remembers every photo you have already reviewed. Switching from Screenshots to Everything will not show you the screenshots you just kept. Every swipe in every mode counts toward your cleanup insights.
Frequently asked questions
Which cleaning mode frees up the most space?
Usually Videos. A single minute of 4K video takes as much space as dozens of photos, so sorting videos longest first finds the biggest savings quickly.
Can I switch modes in the middle of a session?
Yes. Open the cleaning mode sheet at any time and pick another mode. Decisions you already made are kept, so photos you reviewed do not come back.
